Where to start - when I walked in no one was at the desk so I turned to the guy sitting there with a Splash shirt on to tell him I had an appointment. He didn't even speak to me and just pointed at someone who was running in the front door - who I had apparently passed on my way in (she was having a conversation outside).
I had the shellac manicure, which turned out pretty good (minus that it could have been closer to the cuticle to last longer). But the treatment of my cuticles was so rough, I still have a mark from a flap of skin that was cut into and not cut off. The digging around my nail bed was so rough I actually said OW out loud - not that it stopped. My hands felt so dusty the whole time from the nail shavings but was never offered to have them wiped down. I was not offered anything when I sat down, no water and no magazine so I was bored the whole time. The technician kept the lamp between our faces so we couldn't have a conversation, which is fine but felt a little weird. And I was right next to the staircase so several times I ended up directing people to the bathroom that came down the stairs and didn't know where it was (the downstairs could use a sign for that). And if other employees would come down my technician would happily start a conversation with them.
At the end I went to use the bathroom myself and it was absolutely disgusting! If you go - avoid at all costs. When I left I wanted to tip my technician but she was already in the back carrying on a conversation, and when I left no one addressed me.
It was good because it was cheap, but I would rather pay a little more and be taken care of better.
Splash is a great place for a relaxing manicure. Nice staff and a great job done. I would definitely recommend Splash to others. I am going to go back to try out other treatments too.
I had a toe repaint and shape. Therapist was excellent and I left there with very pretty well shaped and painted toes!
The salon is very clean, modern and pleasant. It has the added bonus of wifi if you want to catch on your emails while you are there. Overall I was very impressed and will certainly be visiting in the future.
I was so impressed by my visit to Splash Goodge Street. I had the lovely Daniella give me a Shellac manicure, and never have my nails and hands been so thoroughly spoiled and treated to a proper going over by a perfectionist of a professional. I'm now onto the end of week three with them and they still look gorgeous; the nails still with their carefully filed uniform shape and no chips in sight.
The salon itself is so relaxing with a fun and comfortable vibe that instantly puts you at ease. The manager Francesco literally couldn't do enough for me, fetching me a glass of white wine and checking that the music wasn't too loud for me.
I really enjoyed my visit to Splash Goodge Street and I am already contemplating which treatments to book before my holiday this June! Thanks so much guys!
I am pleased with the Shellac manicure I had done at this salon. The therapist did a very good job, and I am extremely pleased with the overall result. I will most certainly return in the future.
