I was told I would have the beautician I had asked for (I already knew her from a previous appointment in a different saloon from the same chain) and when I arrived, I had someone else doing me the manicure. She was ok (very nice) but she rushed me so much when leaving that the manicure was not dry enough and by the time I made it to the tube station, some of the polish was already messed up although I had been very careful trying not to touch anything). Also, I was supposed to have an hour manicure but in 45 min. I was told we were done. I guess this is because I took the last appointment of the day and the personel in the beauty salon wanted to go home soon but I ended up being quite unhappy with the whole experience.
Fabulous value for money, and the least painful waxing experience fo my life. The therapist was ready and waiting for me, was pleasant, efficient, and extremely good at her job. The venue is not particularly luxurious or glamorous - not the place to go for a relaxing pamper session, but clean, neat, if small, and absolutely fine for routine maintenance!
I decided to treat myself to my first ever "two week manicure" as I was about to go on holiday for... you guessed it... two weeks. The lady who did my nails was very friendly, which almost made up for my sore back from being sat in the uncomfortable armchair, completely unsuited to the task. This is a hair salon with a tiny space for nails in the corner behind the till. I was really pleased with the colour and result as I walked out on the Friday evening. You can imagine my disappointment, however, when my 'no chip nail polish' chipped on one nail only 4 days later! Another nail chipped 2 days later... and I was by no means roughing it to any degree! I only paid £19 for the deal, but given the chipping and the nightmare to have it removed in a remote foreign country, I'm not sure I'll try it again. Maybe once more somewhere else to see if this was a once off glitch but I cannot say I'm hopeful.
I went to Splash New Row for the first time for an express pedicure. Unfortunately it did not go as I was expecting. I did not really like the therapist and her job. She did all in a hurry and careless and the final result was not great. If I had to compare this pedicure with others made in other saloon, I would have to say, this is one of the worst.
Salon is small, modern and spotless clean. I was dealt with promptly and courteously. I attended on Thursday 16th May for Brazillian Keratin treatment and my slylist was confident, experienced and did a fantastic job on my hair - 10 out of 10 for her.. I have had this treatment previously at other salons at much higher cost and it has not had such good results. Tips - supply a range of refreshment drinks ie: coffee, teas, fruit, herbal, normal (and offer decaf) for people who are going to be in the salon for a long while. The only available drink was normal tea or water.
