The girl who did my pedicure was very rushed and kept complaining. She did the cuticle work so roughly that I was wincing. She used no lotion on my feet which were dry from the buffering to the point where I asked for some at the end and put it on myself!
I had a pedicure at Splash with Roxanne. She was friendly and exceptionally good. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of five was because I was sitting in an open area where other people were getting their hair washed - so it wasn't too relaxing and that the range of varnishes to choose from was very sparse. However in terms of the actual pedicure Roxanna was faultless. Her skills are second to none and I would recommend her highly - just close your eyes and perhaps take your own nail varnish along.
My shellac manicure/pedicure at Splash New Row had its pros and cons. On the pro side, the people are great, and the manicure lasted over three weeks (!). On the con side, they dip your fingers in acetone to remove existing shellac (bad for your fingers and fingernails), and their facilities for pedicure are not particularly comfortable. They don't have a proper pedicure chair, so you need to stick your leg up onto a stool while wedged into a small corner. But they are very good value for money.
The Shellac was done downstairs in the smaller shampoo area of the Salon by a lovely lady.
Lots of colours to choose from, when I commented that I wanted a specific colour she was kind enough to go upstairs and fetch a further selection for me to choose. Overall, a great price for a full manicure and well done Shellac.
