I had a shellac manicure. First impressions was it wasn't the most glam places in the corner of a hairdressers but at £21 I didn't mind too much. However, of you're not a fan of hairdressers hanging around on chairs chatting and playing on their phones waiting for customers around you - this is not the place for you! The lady was nice enough but she was rough with her cuticle cutting and would then proceed to buff over the nail cuticle area which really hurt! No surprises she actually made me bleed! Apparently I have very soft skin... (Or she was applying too much force! I personally don't think a manicure should ever hurt or you should bleed!) My right hand actually looks ok but my left hand isn't so pretty. Due to just having one drying machine I kept having to switch one hand over the other which in doing so must've caught some fluff on a
couple of the nails. She noticed and started scraping bit of fluff off but really frustratingly left at least 5 or 6 bits of fluff which I can see on my middle nail. Strange that she decided to redo a nail and started filing off the shellac as it was too thick yet this same nail also has bits stuck in it! Overall it just looks messy and uneven - not something I noticed until I stepped out in the cold light of day. I also noticed the beautician has painted on the skin on my finger which is impossible to remove. I'm not one to usually write reviews but I
really can't wait to get these off!!!
Very good treatment, thorough but quick. Therapist (Beata) was excellent. Definitely recommend to others. Salon v easy to get to as central & can book at short notice.
