Had a facial wax here, beautician very welcoming and efficient. Would highly recommend and great value for money. Also very accessible from Clapham Junction with a number of bus routes.
Stepping Stones was very easy to find, just a short walk from Clapham Junction station. The staff were lovely and friendly. My therapist was male, which was a first for me but as this was a 'make me ache less' kind of massage & clinic rather than a indulgent one I had kind of expected it. He was absolutely amazing! He asked about my past massage/physio history and where my problem areas were, and really tailored my massage to me. Every now and then he'd ask if he was applying too much pressure or whether I wanted more. At one point I'd managed to lock my legs in a strange position and my knees started to ache so I moved them slightly, he asked if I was ok and I said I had my knees in a funny position - quick as a flash he grabbed a towel, carefully placed it under my ankles and my knees were ache free. I don't think the rest of the massage oil was scented but when he did my neck, base of my skull and tops of my shoulder the fragrance was beautiful and so relaxing. Another thing is my massage lasted for the whole hour, which made it even more fantastic value for money as with other massages in the past the therapist has left 5 or 10 mins early to offer me water or green tea. Here when the massage had finished the guy instructed me to just to relax for a minute and he'd be right back. It was so nice to be able to gently bring myself back to reality slowly without having to leap straight up and get dressed as you feel the therapist is desperate for the room back. When he came back he gave me a glass of water and asked if there where any areas he'd missed or could have spent more time on - there weren't! He then said to take my time getting dressed and he'd see me outside. All in all an absolutely fantastic massage which left me feeling utterly relaxed, de-stressed and significantly less achy than when I'd walked in. I'm definitely going back.
Great really liked it easy place to find I would go there again for sure. Place is really nice and the staff are very helpful. I went during the week so not busy
I'm not a regular salon goer, as I can find them intimidating, but I don't have this problem here. There's enough small talk for you to be relaxed, the therapist remembers me from one visit to the next.
I went for my first ever Brazilian wax here, and was more than a little worried having heard of other people's experience (of the treatment). However, it's so calm and relaxing, and the therapist so professional that she put me totally at ease. She also kept it as pain free as it's possible to be and was very understanding.
I feel I can trust her (yesterday she advised against me getting my legs waxed as the hair isn't quite long enough and she was worried it would be a waste of my money if it was only partially effective.
The only thing to get used to is the therapy room has a wall that effectively used to be the shop window onto the street. It's now got a treatment on it so you can't see anything from outside, but you can see the silhouette of people passing by on the street. It can take some getting used to but I think it's one of the reasons I relaxed more, as I feel less hemmed in.
It's also great value, and I've found myself getting into a routine of going regularly, so I'd recommend it to anyone.
I went for a reflexology session, which I believed to be pressure point stimulation on the feet. The therapist had a very light touch and it was more like a series of strokes. I asked her to increase the pressure but there was no change. The reception staff were very friendly.
