Hi i went to stratford salon today was greeted very warmly by staff was offered tea/coffee biscuits.Had a two hour package done which consisted of facial and massage. After my tea i was taken through to a lovely smelling room with candles.Facial was lovely proper deep clean and extraction spent alot of time on my skin attention to detail .Massage was really good i fell asleep thats how relaxed i was stress knots were taken out all in all a relaxing experience and at a bargain price will be visiting them regularly
This place is fine if you are looking for a very basic treatment. The staff are actually really nice and did ask at the end if all was ok, I said that it was "different" but I wasn't then asked to provide further feedback, which might actually be helpful for their future reference. Basically, my masseuse was wearing a metallic watch, which I could feel during the massage and on occasion her nails actually dug painfully into my skin. While as I didn't mind having a trainee joining in the treatment, I wasn't given any prior warning. Also, whenever I've had a full body massage, they always start with you on your back, work on your legs first etc and finish with your shoulders and back, but it was really unconventional here. On the positive note I did experience my first four hand massage and the staff are really nice but the experience just isn't of a professional standard.
There was 45 mins delay in my massage. However they offered me a free head and facial instead. They were quite simple but fair enough. The massage room was nothing special. Although the therapist did his best for my massage however I didn't feel anything special, or feeling very good after massage.

Unfortunately the massage didn't meet my expectations. I read online it was a choice between relaxing and deep tissue, had I been given the option before starting, I would have opted relaxing and if that's what it was, then I'm sorry but it certainly didn't relax me! For about 60% of the massage there was no music which made me concentrate on how suffocated I felt and when there was, it was only for a short while. It's a shame I walked away with more aches and pains than the minor ones I walked in with - for example, my lower back - I didn't have any issues with it before the massage! Having been up at half 4 this morning unable to sleep, I think it's safe to say I won't be returning to Stratford Salon. The lady who carried out my massage was polite however I didn't feel comfortable enough to tell her she was way too harsh at times and when I thought I was finally relaxed, she'd covered me with the towel and massaged over it quite harshly - I was disappointed she didn't feel me tense up! As they're still fairly new, there's works still going on hence the atmosphere not being as relaxing as it could be. Unfortunately I have to say with the pain I'm in now, I'm glad I didn't pay full price for the massage. It's a shame the reviews I read made it seem so great but hey, we live and we learn.
