I went to Suki’s salon for eyelash extensions when I had a last minute cancellation from my usual technician and desperately wanted eyelashes before my holiday. I read reviews on Treatwell and decided to go for it but what I didn’t realise was that a lot of the reviews were for other treatments and not necessarily eyelashes.
I want to first say that Suki was really lovely and had a great manner about her, very chatty and made you feel at ease. The setting underneath a salon in a small room at the side of another salon, however, left a lot to be desired.
The eyelash treatment from start to finish was not great. As someone who has them done quite often, I found it uncomfortable which is not usually the case, as I usually find it really relaxing. I didn’t feel like there was enough separation/isolation of the eyelashes happening during application (and I was right) and when she brushed them through, it felt like she was trying to remove knotted glue. Once they were finished, I initially thought they looked ok so I left and didn’t say anything however when I got home I realised that one of my bottom lashes was actually stuck to the top lash, so much so that I had to use two pairs of tweezers to pry them apart which was painful. I then inspected them all closely and there was glue everywhere, eyelashes were applied too far from the lash line and multiple lashes were stuck together. I was going on holiday the following morning so did not have time to go back to Suki unfortunately as I wold have liked to have given her the opportunity to fix this. Now, about 5 days later, my eyelashes are irritating me, they hurt as multiple lashes are stuck together, they are poking in different directions, and alltogether I wish I didn’t have them on as now I am on holiday and have nowhere to get them removed. I actually did see that Suki does use quality lashes so I can only put this down to the application.
I would not recommend Suki as an eyelash technician however I cannot comment on her other treatments which seem to go down very well with other customers, so given that Suki was so pleasant, I would be willing to go back and try other salon treatments that do not require the same level of precision such as a wax.

I have been getting waxes for a while now and have not experienced anything even close to the level of professional, efficient and friendly service that Suki gives. Suki is amazing! I carry a lot of tension in my back, shoulders and neck and had quite a few painful muscle knots. A lot of therapists go through the motions to provide some temporary relief but Suki really gets into the muscles to ensure she massages out each knot. The difference before and after was night and day. Suki was quick to identify tight areas, spend more time on those areas and then even gave me tips afterwards as to how I can prevent further tightness. Highly recommend!
