The staff and my massuge were really lovely and well trained. The place is clean and well maintained. She did a great job although she spent a bit more time on the back and legs than on the whole body. Also, i would have prefered a little more yoga streches as ive had thai massages in the past that worked on the whole body rather than just 1 - 2 areas. So overall, it was good but could have been a bit more holistic.
Really lovely staff, I was having a massage and could hear next room's conversation but it was a good massage overall.
I had a very pleasant and enjoyable 60 minute massage at Sumanat. The highlights of my experience were the extremely friendly and professional staff, the simple and clean atmosphere of the massage room, and the extremely affordable price I paid for my hour-long treatment. The massage itself was very good: it was a Thai-style massage where the therapist often stood or kneeled on the massage table and used her hands/forearms/elbows. The massage was often times painful but I can only assume the therapist knew what she was doing because the pain would gradually ease as my muscles began to relax. At the end, I felt calm but also like I'd had a workout. My one complaint would be that for the first third of the massage, no lotion or oil was used (I don't know if this was intentional), and this was very painful because my skin kept being pulled and stretched by the dry palms of the therapist. I would definitely return and just ask next time that lotion be used from the start.
It was great!
My therapist was so sweet and lovely, and the massage was quite good--very firm and deep pressure, as expected of a deep tissue massage. If you prefer a lighter pressure, make sure to let your therapist know, because it was quite uncomfortable at some points (to no fault of the therapist--I expected it to be such, and so did not ask her to lighten the pressure). My one slight issue was with how thin the walls are. There was a waxing going on in the next room, and I could hear everything, which I can imagine ruins the ambience of the massage. Luckily the waxing ended 5 minutes into my massage, so I got to enjoy the rest of the session very peacefully!
