I arrived early for my appointment just to find out that the manicurist has left, although I have booked a couple of hours prior. The staff told me that her Treatwell account is managed by her daughter, woop woop...time wasted.
The nail lady is lovely; very polite and friendly, and very good at her job!
The ambience could have been better: the other staff could have been slightly more welcoming (nobody said anything to me as I arrived) and took extended personal phone calls etc.
Overall though, I would definitely recommend Sweet Nails, mostly due to the great service from the nail lady!
The "nail tech" didn't have a clue what she was doing, I have grown up in a beauty salon from age 9-21 as it was out family business, I know you're not meant to flood the cuticle but I know the trick of leave it 2-3 mm from the cuticle so they need infills sooner so I asked specifically to go as close to the cuticle as possible - this she completely ignored, I chose a blue cats eye shellac colour she used a purple shimmer colour 2 coats then a green cats eye on top (none of these were cnd shellac all cheap knock offs) got the cats eye wrong not once but twice, and they are all different shapes, I will never use her services again,
Which is a shame as I have used this salon for the tanning many times and while waiting observing the hair stylist she seemed very professional and knew her techniques down to a T but the nail tech REALLY let the establishment down even using a drill held together with brown parcel tape! I only let her complete the job out of sympathy for the rest of the staff who were lovely and I didn't want to cause a scene but never again would I let this incompetent woman near my hands.
