I made my booking and had confirmation, but when I phoned the venue to find out the exact location I was told there were no beauticians available so they could not fit me in for my Indian head massage! I was very disappointed.

When i came back the app was not properly on the system so i had to wait for the stylist to arrive that has never happened to me before, overall pedicure was good the only downfall was waiting 40 mins for my app

The staff are very friendly and the salon is really clean and welcoming. However, my appointment was double booked so I had a very long wait to get my nails finished, although they were very apologetic about this and made me a coffee. Also the salon felt cold and I felt the treatment was over-priced. Having said this, I am really happy with my nails, and so on balance would consider going back.

I really want to support local independent companies, but I wasn’t impressed by this one. Firstly, they changed my appointment time twice. I’d specifically gone with them as they offered an early appointment, as I had other commitments, but agreed to the final offered time of 11am as I was assured it would be finished by noon. It wasn’t; they started late and took longer than scheduled, so I left the salon at 1235 and missed the next appointment I had. Then the soak-off and mani itself. The soak-off was different to anything I’ve ever experienced: a small bowl filled with acetone into which I had to cram both hands for 10 minutes. Because of the small amount of acetone, the only way to cover all nails was to scrunch them up into claws so they laid flat in the bowl. If it had been explained that it was to be environmentally friendly to save cotton wool, I’d understand, but it wasn’t and I really don’t like bleached out fingers thanks to the remover which, 24-hours on, still feel horribly dry. The mani wasn’t great either. I’ve never had a gel manicure where I can still see the strokes at the end, nor one where the top coat sticks the nail to the flesh - and certainly not one where some fluff gets welded in to the layers so it’s not smooth. I didn’t have specs with me to see that detail when in the store, but in any case that’s not my role. It wasn’t good enough, and I won’t return, I’m afraid.

Best decision I’ve ever made! Was having a lot of back pain. Pav was brilliant, really working out all the tension in my back whilst also being really lovely and polite! She had lots of great advice for reducing problems in future too. Very relaxing and beneficial experience- will be back!
