My experience was incredibly stressful and parts of my hair has actually ripped during the bleaching process. I wanted to cry. It was a total nightmare.
Initially I had a brief chat with the grad stylist after my skin test about toning my bleached blonde hair.
We had agreed on a colour melt/root drag to get a more natural blend going.
The stylist did not wet my hair before applying toner which was absurd, I could hear the roughness of the motion as she rubbed the colour into my hair, it was painful to watch.
I thought it might work out okay anyway.
After the colour was processed, and the stylist proceeded to blow dry there was a thick line on one side of my head, it just looked terrible and wasn't blended. .
Another 2 stylists came over and said they would be able to fix the blend with babylights and toner, of course I agreed, I had plans for dinner after and wasn't prepared to leave the salon with an unfinished look.
When I returned home I noticed the front of my hair was darker and the back was lighter, it was not blended at all! Bits of my hair are so short and ripped! Fair enough if I had paid for a trainee but this was a graduate stylist who clearly wasn't experienced in colour melt/root drag. The stylists did not care to protect the condition of my hair.
I've had to buy box dye to cover it up, I am going to be requesting a refund, which will do nothing to reverse the condition of my hair.
Should've went to Cheynes.
