This was a lovely treat for me and my girlfriend, the massages were lovely and so were the facials (we upgraded for a small fee, which was totally worth it).
Full use of the gym, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, free hot drinks. A well rounded relaxing day.
Handy tips:
- Do remember to take your voucher print out with you, it's not the best thing to start your relaxing day with the minor stress of finding signal on your phone to email it to the reception staff to print it out again.
- Also, drink plenty of fluids. I left with a dehydration headache because I foolishly didn't top up on water.
I thoroughly enjoyed the massage and the relaxation area. The amount we paid for the massage and scalp massage was really good, and the therapists were all very friendly. It was good that there were exercise classes that visitors could participate in - this is unusual in my experience. One thing I was disappointed with was the area by the swimming pool/jacuzzi/sauna, as this felt much more of a leisure centre feel than a relaxing spa day - the view was of the car park (no blocked windows so I felt a bit strange on the bed in my bikini!), and there were very minimal beds to sit on so this wasn't somewhere I wanted to spend much time at to relax with a magazine. The relaxation area, on the other hand, was very nice (although again, there were only five beds so if there were a lot of people booked onto the spa, there wouldn't be room for everyone) and the facilities in this area were great (tea/coffee machine, magazines, water). Lunch was very good value and a good range of options, and this area was pleasant. I would visit again but would probably come for less time as the swimming pool/jacuzzi wasn't an attraction on my visit.
