We had a great day i bought this for special treat. Me and my daughter enjoyed the day and came out relaxed and feeling good as she was preparing for her wedding day
Both my friend and I had a fantastic day at the Darlington Bannatyne Spa. We spent 90 mins in the gym which has top of the range equipment before lunch. After that we used the pool, sauna and jacuzzi before heading into the relaxation room. Really enjoyed the heated tiled beds in there!! Finally we had back neck and shoulder massages fooled by a scalp ,massage.
Will definitely look to do again
You have to pay for the use of a robe and slippers which I don't agree should be on top of your spa day price.
Reception desk staff were excellent as was the food.
Shower area is as you would expect in a public swimming bath, nothing special. You have to remember that you are actually in a gym.
Gym is well equipped and wasn't too busy.
Spa staff were a mixed bag, some really good, some a bit abrupt. They don't seem to like you taking in vouchers from toher websites, they have to do a lot of checking and asking.
Treatsments were good, except I smudged my pedicure as she didn't warm me how long it would take to dry and I felt the body exfoliation was rushed.
I had a spa package with my partner last week which we redeemed at Darlington. I would not recommend this location if you're looking for a genuine spa experience as this is really just a glorified gym.
The massage and facial were lovely and the staff friendly, but the added extras to pay and the details were disappointing - such as non sound proofed treatment and relaxation rooms allowing clear traffic noise, 'meathead' type gym goers hogging the sauna and jacuzzi and poor condition treatment tables.
