I really enjoyed my time here, I left feeling very relaxed. I would definitely go back!
Staff were attentive at all times and made both my daughter & I feel welcome and comfortable at all times without ever being over-fussy.
Me and my mum came here and it was amazing! So relaxing and the staff are brilliant we both had the swedish massage, i would recommenced to anyone you have got to try this place out !
we recently booked a spa day for three of us to celebrate a friends 30th birthday. We were all booked in for treatments at 12pm which was to include a back massage/mini facial and scalp massage. When we arrived we were immediately disappointed with the cleanliness and presentation of the spa area. The floors were dirty, the changing rooms were very run down we didn't even want to get changed in there. We had around 30 minutes prior to treatments to use the pool/Jacuzzi etc... As we entered the pool area it became quite apparent that this was going to be a disaster. The pool area was filthy and dirty plasters on the floor. The pool was freezing cold. The steam room was filthy too. We made our way up to the spa reception in time for treatment at 11.55am. The reception area was hectic with around 12-15 people waiting around in their robes. There was nowhere to sit as it was that crowded. The therapists were extremely unprofessional. Our treatment time was 12pm and we did not get our treatments until 1.30pm! clients were complaining left right and centre. It was horrendous! One of the therapists openly told me that my designated therapist was actually in treatment with another client and that they did not know why??? very unorganised. I was approached by one of the therapists at 1.30pm who explained it was her first day at the spa and that she was disgusted with the lack of organisation there. She took me into the treatment room and explained she will be back in a few minutes to start my treatment. I was then confused as a different therapist came back in to do my treatments. She did my back message which wasn't very good. She didn't even ask me if the pressure was ok? And she didn't apply any pressure on my back at all and didn't even work on my shoulders at all, she had no routine at all its as if she did not know what she was doing. I then had the mini facial which was ok. She then left the room I was lay there for a good 5 minutes she then sent a different therapist in to do the scalp massage. this was now the third therapist I had in total, who then asked me what 2 treatments I had just had???? so that he knew which one was left to do! No communication at all and not relaxing. During my scalp massage somebody opened the door to the treatment room then closed it again. I didn't even get an apology. I then made my way up to the relaxation room where my friends were waiting for me after treatment. They then explained to me that they could hear everything from the toilet cubicles next door including somebody being sick!!! Not so much a relaxation room. There were facilities to make hot drinks but had run out of hot water so we went to main reception to ask for hot water. Instead of them saying go sit down we will bring it in for you he simply boiled the kettle and made us wait for it to fill it up ourselves! He then said this kettle takes f*****g ages to heat up!!! we were gobsmacked with the poor customer service and quality of the overall experience! never ever again will I go to Bannatyne Spa Quay street Manchester!
The spray tan itself was good, turned out well, lasted all week and was very good value. My only issue was that the lady completing my spray tan left whilst I got dressed and never returned. I had no idea about the aftercare of the treatment, including when I was meant to wash it off.
