Went on a pamper day for two with 40 minute back massage each. It was fine, but nothing really to rave about. Wouldn't pay full price though with the Wahanda deal it was good value.
I went to The Bannatyne Spa Perth for the first time on Sunday. I'm not a member of the club, but was looking for somewhere new for a Hollywood Wax as my previous beauty therapist emigrated. I thought that a trusted brand like Bannatyne Spa would be less scary than trying to find a new independent.
The whole experience was fantastic. To be honest it took me months to book my first appoint for a Hollywood Wax earlier this year. The thought of phoning and asking about it horrified me, so the idea of now have to phone someone new was horrific. However, the new Bannatyne online booking system is fantastic. You can choose the treatment you want, the date and time of appointment, and even which therapist you want - simply choosing 'any female' is an option if you've never been before.
With my appointment booked it was just a case of turning up. The presentation of the place is fantastic. The atmosphere is relaxing, but not intimidating, and Amanda (the therapist who carried out my treatment) was really good. She put me at my ease, and made the whole experience very easy. I'll definitely be back. My only one wish is that the spa would switch to using hot wax instead of cream was and strips for the whole treatment, not just the shorter hairs, as comparing the experience with the last therapist I visited (who used hot wax) the skin felt smoother and less irritated with the hot wax treatment. But, otherwise excellent.
origanally booked this for oct 2010, but due to someones error, i wasn't informed of a cancellation and appeared at the spa for my experience only to discover i wasn't going to get one! most disappointed... headed home feeling very dejected! 2nd time round, sucess.. got in .. loved the gym and loved my haircut and the hairdresser! i find this spa very public not like the ones ive been to before where they have been very private and quiet! would i visit again? probably!
I chose this place so that my friend and i could indulge in an hour of girlie gossip while having our toes transformed to goddess status. Unfortunately when we arrived the therapists tried to whisk us off into separate rooms, even though the receptionist had previously assured me we would have our pedicure in the "dual" room. This matter was cleared up fairly quickly by the therapists who were pretty patient with us despite the poor communication from reception. The pedicures were of a good standard although my friends feet could have done with a bit more hard skin removal on the heels and much to my disappointment the cheese grater did not appear. Nice Jessica nail colours.
