Ellis was brilliant and the massage was just what I needed. Just as I started to relax a child started crying outside the room and the water pipes started to make a rattling noise, which spoilt what would have been a 5 star rating.
Disaster from start to finish. Had booked in for a spa day. Left waiting at reception for over 20'mins before waiting in bar while a member of staff found someone to book us in. Hot tub was way too hot to use as had problem with thermostat. They stuck a cold hose pipe in it while waiting for an engineer. 2 hose pipes running across floor to swimming pool that was leaking water. Ridiculous wait in bar area to be served even though there were no other customers waiting even got snapped at by barman. Over priced lunch consisted of basic ingredients with mouldy bread. Complimentary wine in spa came in mismatched plastic glasses that the stem fell off on a dirty tray complete with dried out muffin. Did not even stay for the treatments. My friends birthday was ruined. Thank goodness I hadn't paid upfront. Apology phone call consisted of being told I would probably still have to pay the leisure company part of the cost of accessing the unusable spa facilities that I didn't use. Told them they will get blood out of a stone before they get a penny out of me.
