Unfortunately I was really unimpressed by my recent gel manicure. The salon was clean and and the staff friendly. However, I have never had my gel nails filed off before only ever soaked in acetone with foils. I asked the nail technician if the file was safe for nails and she said it was. I have subsequently read that using an electric file, whilst quicker to remove the polish, can cause damage to the nail and a ‘ring of fire’ around the cuticle. She also nipped three cuticles on my left hand, again nothing I have experienced before. She did apologise but I am not an expert in gel application and removal and wasn’t aware how much it would sting after leaving the salon, not to mention looking unsightly. I also paid for cuticle care and hand cream and did not receive either of these, only some cuticle oil. The general application of the colour also revealed itself to be quite lumpy and bumpy in the light of day when I left the salon. Whilst I realise that I should have questioned all this at the time, I do not get my nails regularly done and am not particularly experienced. I am really quite disappointed and won’t be returning.

Was nice little spa, loungers were not too comfy. The double Shower didn't work properly.
Didn't feel comfortable having a massage in the same room as my colleague.
Would be nice to book extra treatments at time of booking
