One of the nicest spas I've been to . A very unlikely setting when you first arrive at the hotel but downstairs is a hidden oasis.
The little extra touches you receive here are lovely and make it feel like a real treat.
Where do I begin? I bought this as a gift for my sister and she bought me one back! We went together and my first thought was, 'this is a quaint B&B'. But you go downstairs to the spa area and it's just stunning! The attention to detail really made the difference. We started off with the spa facilities for 30 minutes; very high tech. Everything from oils in the waterfall shower to ambient lighting to really set the mood. You are then taken in for your massage. The rooms were gorgeous; they've made a very normal space feel like you've been transported to the orient. I loved the little candle and flowers arrangement directly under the heated massage bed, nice touch. To enhance all of this, you get a lovely refreshing (non-alcoholic) fruit concoction on arrival, as well as a choice of herbal tea and little cupcake in the relax room after the massage.. Absolutely loved it, and would come back again! Such amazing value for money! Do give yourself about 2 hours to spend here by the way.. you will be seriously relaxed by the end of it!
This is a hidden jewel tucked just few blocks away from the centre of Cambridge. It is located in the lower floor of the Lensfield hotel and it may not be a most obviously presented place. However, locating the hotel can't be easier as it is on the East road, across the Gurdon Institute. The facility has a blend of oriental charm and sense of modern touch, all new and wonderfully clean. My favourite as well as a pleasant surprise was their thermal room which has a steam sauna, a dry sauna, and a shower area. Indulging myself in the saunas before my body massage was a perfect pre-treatment allowing my body to be even more relaxed and to sweat out any unwelcome toxins. The full-body deep muscle relief massage was also great. It started with a relaxing foot cleansing and then was followed by a warm stream of oil all over the body. The incredibly comfortable massage bed combined with the peaceful music in the background was a nice addition to the relaxing experience. Finally, the whole experience ended with a cup of hot green tea and little sweets in a room next to the massage place. Overall, it was so much more than I expected and I am definitely going back for more.

Had a bit of a bad experience because unfortunately it was far too hot for the wax to actually 'take' in the room, which made it quite painful and ineffective. However, the staff were lovely and had the room been less stifling (and resultant wax more satisfactory) I'd have given it top marks.
