The wax wasn't very painful but I didn't have as much hair to take off so I think it was a combination of that and the wax they use. I wasn't as smooth after as I have been after other waxwings and I think my skin was a bit more irritated. I also had my eyebrows done and my skin around my eyebrows was definitely a bit more irritated than usual and is still sore the next day.
The staff were very nice though and it's a convenient location so I would probably give it another try.
Professional and painless! Waxing hurts wherever you go, but the self-made wax is virtually painless and makes the whole experience a bit more easier and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.
My appointment at The Brazilian Hot Wax Co is everything a beauty treatment should be! It's located in central London, but away from the hustle & bustle of Oxford Street. The building is nice enough, but the waxing rooms were clean, relaxed and nicely decorated.
I was met by Melissa who was very friendly and welcoming. It was my first professional wax (holywood) but Melissa made sure the whole appointment was very laid back. I was suprised by how little pain was involved, particularly compared to my own attempts to wax (won't make that mistake again!). Throughout the process she explained that they make their own hot wax and gave me some detailed tips on how to get the best results from waxing and ensure I had full aftercare instructions. She even gave me a natural loofah to exfoliate with (from 1 week after my appointment).
I was given a loyalty card afterwards and told when to come in next for best results if I wanted to come back.
Overall I was thoroughly pleased with everything; Melissa was great, the results were perfect and I was left feeling relaxed (who knew that could happen from waxing?!). I'll definitely be returning to The Brazilian Hot Wax Co.
Cannot recommend this place enough. It is in the middle of soho, in a very good location. The wax is very good for sensitive skin. The girls always do a great job.
