Went with friends for afternoon spa deal. Staff friendly and helpful, facilities clean but a little disappointing. The aromatherapy steam room had lost its aroma and the menthol sauna had lost its menthol! Note to anyone visiting - the facilities advertised are just those that are available - there is nothing else unless you book treatments - so don't expect to spend a whole day there - we struggled to fill in an afternoon.
Afternoon tea and champagne was also included. This was beautiful - could not be faulted.
Overall - a nice afternoon for the price of the deal but would not have wanted to pay full price.
The facilities were ok , very clean , staff fairly attentive . But the afternoon tea was fabulous , very tasty sandwiches with a good choice , beautiful scones & the " bubbly " and strawberries just made it a special afternoon .
From walking in the door I was made very welcome with friendly staff who were very informative and showed me to the spa area where I was met by Lucy & Emma my two mircle workers for the afternoon.
I was given slippers, towels & a robe and shown all the all what was on offer. I was then treated to a lovely facial with a head massage and pedicure where I almost fell asleep as it was so good, I was given a nice cold drink and a little break before setting about my manicure.
I didn't even need to ask for lunch as Lucy called to reception for me and had everything sent up to the relaxation room where I just chilled and enjoyed a world class scorn and cream which was to die for strawberries and sandwiches with a fresh orange juice and a lush hot choclate with toppings.
I sadly didn't get to use the other area's on offer at the spa as I didn't have time but one thing is for sure I shall be definatly going back again very very soon.
So thank you "The Bridge Spa" for a lovely day and making a pregnant birthday girl smile :-)
My friend and I went to the Bridge with a voucher for a day at the spa, glass of bubbly and afternoon tea. The spa is very nice. There is an outside hot tub, a lovely steam room, a sauna, bubbly foot baths and a relaxation room. There were only six other people there when we went, I think any more and it would have been crowded. The only downside is the very small changing rooms and as it is a spa I expected more products to use (shampoo, conditioner, body lotion). Also there was only one hairdryer and no straighteners. We had a lovely time and a very nice afternoon tea, and it was a bargain with our voucher!
