I had a Spa-tember Exclusive Pamper Day, incl. 60 Minute Massage & Spa Access last Friday and was disappointed with the overall experience. I was told by the hotel's Guest Relations team to arrive an hour and a half before my treatment but, despite a multitude of staff at the hotel front desk, no-one seemed to be expecting me and I was rushed to sit in the hotel reception to wait rather than being shown to the spa. After several conversations with different people, I was finally allowed into the spa only to find it was really too full for me to use so I left the hotel and returned an hour later for my treatment. The massage itself was good and the therapist was professional and friendly but the spa is tiny and was totally overbooked on the day I went so I was not able to make use of the facilities.
It was sooooo nice to have a 60 minute massage! Then use the spa facilities. And then have afternoon tea. Great value. Loved it!
My wife and I went on a Tuesday morning and had the spa facilities to ourselves. The afternoon tea was great. A good mix of sandwiches and cakes. We were full at the end and had to take a doggy bag home!
Their communication was excellent and the hotel service was excellent too.
