After what sounded like a wonderful relaxing experience for £85 regrettably I feel underwhelmed and overcharged.
My wife and I were shown to what was in effect a private steam room with 2 seats (not much smaller than the Salt Room in the thermal suite which was free of charge). We were provided with a bowl of salt to rub into ourselves before showering off and a bowl of "mud" that we were also told to apply ourselves.
There was no "relaxing music" playing and the "stars above" were a few lights
Facilities were cramped, with customers bags & towels on the floor. Hardly any space to get changed & changing room way too hot. Floor was wet. Shower didn't drained fast enough which flooded the floor.
Massage was ok but it certainly was not an experience, felt a little bit mechanical- feet & neck weren't massaged.
Confusion with pricing too. When I enquired I was told massages were £89 but when paying we were told the price had gone up, no explanations as to why & we were charged £98.
The thermal sweet is misleading.. the Pool is considerably low in temperature.. it should be much warmer if you're advertising as a Thermal suit!! I said this on my previous visit. As did my other customers. Yet on my return.. the pool was still far too cold. Your so called " Salt Room " is a gimmick. It's a room. That's it. The steam room smells strange. No essential oils or anything. I'm a Pool Engineer by trade. The Pool IS TOO COLD!
