I took my daughter here for her 18th birthday treat. The facilities were amazing, especially the the pool and view from the pool area. The treatments were spot on and the girls were friendly and professional. We were very pleased with our room, having a lovely view, the dinner was excellent, good choice and staff very good.
All in all a fab stay and would highly recommend it to my friends.
The whole experience was absolutely brilliant. I couldn't fault it in anyway. The room was great and we had a lovely bottle of prossecco waiting for us. The Spa experience was brilliant and staff were very helpful. Our 3 course dinner was delicious and we were more then covered by our £25 allowance.
I would definitely recommend this experience. The only thing that has prevented me from giving this experience a full 5 stars is that we really had to keep a steely eye on our bill at every point. At the Spa they didn't apply the discount and at the restaurant 2 courses were added to the bill. At checkout the original spa bill was added to our final amount. A small issue but nevertheless a not great for a 4 start hotel.
We had a super day at the Cornwall, arriving at 10am, leaving after our afternoon tea at 4.30pm. We booked extra treatments and had lunch - all of which were great! The afternoon tea itself was lovely, sandwiches, cakes, fudge and scones with clotted cream and jam :-) we paid £28 each and all agreed it was excellent value. We will definitely go again. The only issue, which was no fault of the hotel, was my lack of a voucher for the afternoon tea - they accepted my confirmation email, but it would have been nice if lastminute had provided the correct paperwork to avoid awkwardness!
My boyfriend and I needed a quick escape from our busy schedules in London, and found this amazing deal. The long drive to Cornwall was the only frustration, but assured once we checked in, went to our massage (in particular I had the Indian head massage very good) - all was forgotton. We then headed to the pool to relax, and took full use of the steam and sauna.
The best part was a bottle of pressecco waiting in welcoming arms of our deluxe bedroom. Food was delicious and staff were knowledgable and prompt. My boyfriend would of loved to of used the gym facilities, however one night is not enough!
I highly rate this estate for anyone who is in dire need of a pamper or city escape this is the place to go! A nice spot as well for small families. Definitely a winner!
Hotel and rooms absolutely gorgeous and everything very clean. However some things weren't quite there, the grounds didn't look as though they'd been finished, so although it appeared like you could go for a nice rural walk....there was just one short path :/
Dinner was spot on, gorgeous food and staff friendly.
Massage was brilliant but I also had a geleration pedicure which I wasn't that impressed with. The actual nail Polish was brilliant but the treatment as a whole was not worth £30!!! No foot scrub or massage or dead skin removal, I had to ask her to file my nails!
Spa itself was ok. Very clean and the pool was lovely, but the steam room was cold and didn't seem to have any steam in! Just needed that extra something to make it special, because it was literally a pool and sauna.
Also, when coming to pay the bill at the end of the stay they tried to charge again for the massages, even though I'd paid for them in the package. Although it was resolved it took quite some time for the receptionist to sort it out, making several phone calls, which put a slight negative feel to the end of a nice night away.
