We had a lovely relaxing day at this spa. We were greeted on arrival, taken into a lovely room with comfy armchairs by the fire to fill out forms whilst we had coffee. We were then taken down to the spa and shown around and then left to relax. The pool is lovely and a good size with use of a jacuzzi. There was also a sauna and steam room which were both great. The spa was quite busy when we first arrived and we could have done with more loungers but by the afternoon it had got quieter. We were very impressed with the lunch- champagne and a great selection of a 2 course meal- very generous with the portions. It was nice being allowed to sit in our robes and slippers for lunch without having to get changed. We were then called for our massage. The times were mixed up as when booking we were told 2 of us at 3 and one at 3.30 but when we arrived at the spa we were told 3.30 and 4 and this had been written on our sheets. However at 3.05 the lady came and got 2 of us and we therefore did not get the full time allotted. However the massage itself was amazing.
All in all a very good day and we would definitely return in the future. My only criticism was at no point in the booking process were we advised of a £20 per person deposit to hire the robe and slippers.our voucher said hire of robe was included. This seemed excessive. However it was returned to us at the end so not a big problem but perhaps you could forewarn guests in future. Thank you all for a great day of relaxation.
We really enjoyed our day at the Connaught/Bluewater Spa. The pool was a little on the cool side, but the sauna and steam room compensated somewhat! The lunch in the Brasserie was excellent. The head and shoulder massage was excellent. The icing on the cake next time would be foot slippers that actually fitted a larger man's foot.
I love the treatments at the spa and probably over the year go back to the Connaught at least 6 times for treatments it's the best in Bournemouth . And the staff are lovely .
