Spa facilities were good and the treatment (full aromatherapy massage) was excellent.
Spa day was a great experience. All the staff we met were very professional and polite, they made us feel welcome and valued. The hotel is very clean , light and airy. We felt relaxed and chilled by the end of the day. The whole thing was value for money.
My two daughters and I had a wonderful day at the Connaught, and from the moment we arrived felt like we were being spoilt. Maria was so welcoming and explained everything beautifully to us about what our day would be like. in fact all the staff were friendly and the service impeccable. Our treatments included massage and facial, both of which were done professionally and felt wonderful. we were all so relaxed and happy and at that moment, really didn't want to leave!
We were then treated to a glass of champagne before lunch, which added to the feeling of luxury about the day. the menu choice for lunch was good. We were all able to find dishes that we enjoyed, and my eldest daughter was even offered a gluten free option of brownie with sorbet for dessert, which wasn't on the menu, but made available to her because of her dietary requirements. The only criticism would be that the lunch itself, both starter and main course were a little dry, and tasted thus. the chicken also had a slightly 'fridgy' taste about it. Everything was edible and lovingly presented on the plate, but would have been top notch if it had all just been that little bit fresher.
