The staff at Cove Spa were really friendly and professional, they made me feel at ease and very relaxed. They did a brilliant job of my manicure and pedicure reception and didn't seem rushed or trying to fit me into a time schedule. The venue was small and the entrance and hallway felt a bit rundown. Obviously this was no fault of the staff though, who were brilliant.
There isn't a proper setup here to offer nail services. They take you to a massage room and have you sit across one of the massage beds on a fold out chair. The polish had gone off I guess as it just looked terrible and although the beauty technician was very nice and chatted to me, my manicure left me with cuts all over my cuticles and the shellac had to be removed in the end because it was so patchy and uneven. The chemicals to remove the polish burned my fingers because of my cuticles being cut up and I didn't end up with a gel manicure because I just wanted to get out of there. It was shocking. There are very basic nail tools but it costs £38 so really bad that they don't have good polishes, tools and an area dedicated to nails. Not to mention that I still have Polish bits all over my nails and my fingers were bleeding on the way home! They apologised and sort of shrugged about the whole thing but I was embarrassed for them to be honest. Looked like a nice place to get a massage but don't recommend for nails. I'll have to book something else this week.
The staff were fantastic and very friendly, though the quality of my manicure wasn't the best, unfortunately.
Amazing - relaxing
Very nice, relaxing space. Good manicure but lacked a good selection of colours.
