Mixed experience. Massage was fantastic and therapist was clearly very skilled. Left feeling amazing. Fantastic products. The facilities were nice. Mix up with booking which meant we’d booked for 2 and only one of us could have a massage as not enough staff- could’ve been resolved with a phone call from the team prior to arrival- anyway, refund sorted and the 1 massage that was had, was enjoyed! Would recommend ringing the salon to double-check your booking is booked before arriving.
Great service from Monica and very friendly and helpful staff overall. My treatment (body wrap) can be a bit awkward but they made their best to make me feel comfortable. Many thanks.
I had the AA Aromatherapy deep cleaning facial 1hr.
The full price for the facial is £65 and with the treatwell offer it was £45 which I think is a fair price for what you get. I would not have paid the full £65 and cannot see how this facial is worth that much.
The facial itself was a standard deep cleansing facial - cleanse, scrub, steam, extraction, oil massage, mask and did the job as my skin needed a good cleansing facial.
Staff - although friendly I was surprised the therapist didn't ask me at the beginning anything about my skin, nor told me what to expect, asked if I was comfortable or warm etc. Every spa I have been to would normally start with a short conversation. That isn't to say she wasn't nice.
I have visited the St Albans branch in the past and definitely preferred that experience to the Finchley branch.
Would I go back - probably not. Although the facial was ok I've had better elsewhere.
Would I recommend the spa - yes, the St Albans branch
