I really enjoyed it. The lady was very friendly and told me everything I wanted to know. Afterwards I felt no aches and pains whatsoever-something I haven't experienced in a long time!
Firstly, the toilets in the changing room were in such a terrible state that I couldn't face going in there, the first dressing gown was filthy and clearly hadn't been washed from the previous client (so I put this straight in the laundry basket) and the second gown was suitable for a size 10 dress only, which unfortunately I am not. The steam room had a terrible smell of drains/dampness which meant we spent very little time in it, the spa suite was in need of a repair with paint peeling off the ceiling and finally during the massage the consultants were mouthing to each other whilst carrying out the treatment, which I found extremely rude. I paid £160 for this 2 hour session which is extortionate given the overall experience and would never return. Terrible!
The spa facilities were great and the massage was fantastic. Great pressure and very relaxing. The staff were friendly and attentive. There was also an unexpected feature in a steam room which was very nice!
However, the Lovers Cove package wasn't as described either on the Wahanda or on the Spa website. We package states we recieve three treatments; a foot ritual, a full body massage and lastly a choice between a scalp or foot massage. We were given the first two and then told that the last part was incorporated into the full body massage (which although very nice focused very little on the scalp which we both would have chosen as the additional treatment). I would advise Cove Spa to amend their package description so others aren't expecting three treatments as well. Or if this was a mistake by the spa staff to compensate us accordingly.
Other than that, it was great!
