The Cove is perhaps a little dark and hippy looking, and also slightly tired round the edges. BUT I had one of the best massages I've ever had from Pat (I have had several!). She got into places no-one has before and for that reason I would definitely return!
Perfectly acceptable. Nice place, though could do with a little freshening up, looking a little tired in places. Threading experience as enjoyable as can be expected. Very professional, quick and virtually painless. Friendly & relaxing. Intend to return when needed.
The Cove itself is a little tired - it's got quite a hippyish vibe, but is perhaps a little darker inside than I have come to expect from treatment rooms.
My massage was around 20 minutes late starting - there was a customer on the phone and a customer trying to pay for their treatment, so I did have to wait. That said, my therapist did ensure the massage was the full 45 minutes.
The massage itself was painful, as I asked for the tension to be relieved in my neck, shoulders and back. I have to say though, it has worked...there's a lot more movement there now, so the therapist certainly knew what she was doing!
I would have liked a little more consultation at first, and more explanation of what to expect, and what to do next. Instead, I was told about offers for more massages - while interesting, it would have been good to discuss the tension and next steps in more detail.
I would go back again, but I might like to try other places in the area first.
I had shellac gel nails done. There wasn't a great variety of colours, but I am very pleased with the bright pink colour I picked as it is perfect for the spring/summer! The lady shaped my nails nicely but did not remove the cuticles as I would have expected. She had cut into one of my cuticles, but it does not bother me too much. There was not an arm rest so I found it little awkward during applications. As I have had gel nails done before at different salons, I think the lady could have done a better job and the application of polish was not as neat as the standard I would usually have it.
