The spa is set at the beautiful Whittlebury Hall, gorgeous settings. But the actual spa is very dated. It’s hard to relax somewhere when you’re in a steam room where the ceiling is peeling off or there is all sorts on the walls. It was very busy even for a weekday, so I presume they don’t really have a limit you just have to wait. I’ve been to some lovely places and this was bought as a gift but unfortunately not for me. It’s not somewhere I would feel comfortable taking my flip flops off. Even in the showers were stained shower curtains. Not ideal when people are looking for a little bit of luxury. Maybe it’s just me but I think a spa should be new and clean and kept that way.
We arrived here on Sunday,it wasn't too busy so we were pleased about that.
Spa facilities were really good, food was great & our massage included in the package was also very good.
I saw a lot of reviews stating that the check in process was awful but we had no problem at all.
I could not fault this place at all, its a shame that the water beds get taken up quickly, they should probably have staff here observing how long people are using this facility for, that way everyone gets to experience it.
Wonderful facilities, we were disappointed archer waiting for the water beds in the ‘whisper zone’ that people were talking loudly and groups of four crowded in to a couple of the cubicles chatting loudly and laughing. This went on for over an hour, multiple staff walked through in that time but nothing was said. I was part of a group so completely understand wanting to enjoy each other’s company but there are plenty of areas to do this. If people are not able to be considerate of others I think it would be appropriate to be reminded my staff in order to make sure all users can enjoy their experience.
Visited with a friend - had a delightful experience. Only criticism was other noisy guests in the whisper area - would have expected spa personnel to have asked them to respect other guests trying to relax.
