A frequent visitor to Whittlebury Hall, another great experience, with the added bonus that it wasn’t as busy in the heat & ice area as it has been on previous visits.
Did the free Espa skin workshop they were offering that day, and this was really good, would recommend it.
Had to move rooms as first one overlooked an extractor fan but they did this immediately.
Lovely food
My partner and I booked this and found it surprising that on the website it asks you to call and make a booking for your Spa treatment only to call and be told that you need to be at the venue at 10AM when you will be told what time your treatment will be, not the most relaxing start to a break. When we arrived we checked into the hotel then made our way over to the Spa we were given a pack with info in it and told our time for the treatment which luckily was late afternoon (if they already know the time of the treatment I don't see why they can't send an email the day before or an SMS).
The Spa was very busy but I felt that the staff didn't have any communication between each other, we weren't told where everything was in the Spa all the lockers were used in the female changing rooms so some guests then had to use a different changing room which wasn't by the pool area. When we went for the treatment my partner was told by here therapist that she didn't like doing full body massages and she was going to just concentrate on her back and shoulders she then spoke all the way through and started telling her that she wasn't eating the correct food!
The hotel itself was clean and the food was very nice, only thing that let it down was the Spa.
Very busy on bank holiday Monday! Spa staff struggled with the long queue of guests arriving around 10am. Lunch was lovely, fresh and plenty of choice with very attentive waiting staff. Overall had a very pleasant day, only slight criticism was that the showers and changing rooms were dirty and untidy towards the end of the day.
