Absolutely fabulous venue. Spa facilities are amazing. Staff are so friendly and cannot do enough to make your stay special. Beauticians really knowledgeable, professional and helpful. Definitely deserves 5 stars from me
I had been recommended this Spa by some friends who attended recently. My Husband and I had bookedkr an overnight stay. Unfortunately, the only two rooms working within the hot and cold experience were the Sauna and Ice Room. Therefore, we were highly disappointed, as it diminished the whole experience. The staff at Aaron's Restaurant was fantastic, although we weren't the only diners who thought the fish in particular was very bland. However, everything else was beautiful. The room was lovely and bright, no aircon and no complimentary water, given the heat at this time of year. Also, the room was not entirely clean. However, we made the most of our time there.
Loved the food. The massage was good. Room was to a good standard but the facilities were disappointing. Not enough foot baths, heated beds and water beds. The facilities were over subscribed and too busy for the amount of these facilities and so you could not get on them to use. We visited the waterbeds 5 times but they were full each time. You felt you had to queue and hover in areas to wait for them to become free for use, which in my opinion takes away from the relaxation element. The steam rooms were the same, often no seats when you tried to go in and the hydro pool was so full you couldn't get into a booth. In general the spa facilities were overcrowded and disappointing.
Suitcase was put in our room while in the spa as room not ready when we arrived. Food was very good at lunch dinner and breakfast, although the wine was expensive at dinner. Staff were all helpful and welcoming, massage was good but I do think spa was too busy. Unable to get a chair or a bed around the pool, people had towels everywhere and reception were still letting people in for the day so got busier!!
