Excellent food, rooms and value for money. Very popular - perhaps a little too crowed to be a truely relaxing experience. Unable to use the leisure club facilities after 11am on the second day of the spa break. When the spa was busy in the afternoon, were unable to escape to the quieter pool area. Unsure of why we would be excluded from this area when we were told to use the changing rooms in the leisure club?? The changing rooms in the spa area were nicer than the leisure club (broken lockers and cold showers).
We had such a great two days we found it so hard to leave! The whole experience was well worth it and already looking forward to another session in the future.
Very little to pick out that was bad, in fact nothing, but our overriding memory is that of the heated water beds. So comfortable and a real experience.
Thoroughly recommend Whittlebury Hall for absolutely everyone from the the spa to the rooms and food. Brilliant all round.
Beautiful spa with lovely facilities. The hotel is also lovely and the staff explained everything very well. They were happy to change meal times to suit our plans as well. The main downside was that it was so busy that we could not really relax. Many of the facilities were crowded or required waiting to use, perhaps it is better on a weekday. The food was very nice except the evening meal which was average and service poor, except the wonderful bar manager who did her best despite being extremely busy!
On arrival at 11.10 was told our itinerary for the day including treatment and lunch gets chosen for us, so our they'd booked our treatment for 11. So first thing to do was queue and wait to change our treatment time. Staff were not the most helpful.
Then when waiting for the treatment my guest got called in for her treatment and they had forgotten me. Just think the overall first impression of the staff and organisation was poor.
The hotel staff however were fab, our room was amazing, had all the luxuries and they couldn't of fed us enough. Had plenty of food..3 course dinner and big buffet breakfast.
Overall experience was really good value for money..just a few things on arrival which could of made our experience more relaxing.
A fantastic experience that my wife and I enjoyed. Spa treatments were superb and the food fantastic. Staff really knowledgable and helpful to.
