I love this spa and visit every 6 months or so but this was my first weekend visit and unfortunately my worst visit. I feel that the spa was overbooked which made it impossible to relax when the sauna & steam room doors are constantly being opened and closed, the noise was also an issue. Appart from this you will not find better value for money. Great food, plenty to do and usually always leave feeling great
I've visited Whittlebury a number of times over the last 4/5 years for the day spa and also accessing the spa as a hotel guest. It's the largest spa complex I've found to date attached to an sizeable hotel set in tranquil rural grounds. It has the sort of facilities used expect from a spa from heat and ice treatment areas and a good number of seats around a swimming pool that enables you to have a swim or lounge around. I tend to have facials or massages but have also had a manicure and pedicure. The facials and massages have always been fantastic with excellent treatment rooms and no adverse noise to distract from your treatment, the manicure/pedicure was good but I didn't think the shaping was quite right. The therapists have always been great and provide a breakdown of the products used and recommendations for your skincare. Lunch was included as part of the day spa package and easily accessible within the spa. it was a set menu with a handful of options, the food was lovely and the café area (where lunch was served) also provides drinks throughout the day including smoothies which I'd definitely recommend. Overall, it's good value for money - especially when combined with a hotel stay (can normally find an offer for £65 per person).
What a lovely place, from the moment we arrived till the moment we left, everything was pretty much wonderful. The spa was great, not too busy so there was plenty of space for everyone and you were pretty much on your own in the sauna/steam rooms. Massage was amazing. Gym and pool really good, and again pretty quiet. Food delicious, although the wine could have been better in the hotel. Hotel rooms lovely, breakfast delicious and so much choice. Relaxed atmosphere. Some of the staff could have been a bit friendlier although most of them were, but we had the most wonderful 24hrs, and can't wait to book again.
A fantastic offer and great value for money at a wonderful location. A great way to relax and enjoy some peace and tranquillity. The additional discount on treatments is also well worth considering.
Great spa day and great value booking through last minute Back massage not worth the money as was over so quick Had a few issues (with massage booking) but got refund and complimentary drinks Would I return? Yes definitely but take flip flops as they charge £5.50 do some 😄
