Lovely building, hotel facilities were good, breakfast and lunch very nice.
Spa experience and staff there were horrendous!
All staff gave a diffident account of the treatment we would receive. When asked if we could upgrade to another treatment we were told by one member of staff yes (as well as stating we could on the information when we arrived) and it wouldn’t be a problem. We were then told no by the manager (Kelly). When we asked to move the treatment times as they did not fit our other already planned activities, we were told that wouldn’t be a problem by 2 members of staff from the spa. Then to be told no by the manager again, who then became rather rude and confrontational.
Spa was to busy and couldn’t handle the number of customers that they had. Did not have robes or slippers (even though they were included in the price) for us as they had run out, so we was given a pointless extra towel. Told by Kelly - Spa Manager that we should of booked midweek if we didn’t want it to be busy.
Was told at the end of the first day by the spa receptionist to come back the following morning at 10am for our missed treatment.. returned at 0950 and was rudely told by Kelly - spa manager that we couldn’t and we wouldn’t get any form of refund or alternative treatment.
Then told we were liars by Kelly - spa manager and that her receptionist wouldn’t of told us that. Kelly was very rude and offered no apology or any form of refund or alternative. Two of our group didn’t even use the spa facilities as they were so annoyed.
Very, very disappointed and will be posting reviews on trip advisor and Wowcher.
