Lovely spa in the centre of Cambridge. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the treatments were to die for! Shame there is no pool, but the gym facilities were very good.
Will be returning when my friend comes to visit.
For the price - we may have stayed in London and had a massage locally, and benefitted from an appropriate environment. Staff while sweet, appeared to be trainees? Not wiping oil off when finished? Not having spa shoes/slippers on hand with the robe? The tone of the spa is all wrong - allowing other guests to speak on their mobile phones on speak phone mode? Some odd practices, i.e. guests take used towels/robes through to the main reception/entrance where the bin is located? The whole place just does not feel like a spa, and I would definitely not recommend spending money on it. Feels 'studenty' - should offer a student pricing.
The facial and massage were both lovely in the cosy treatment room and the staff were great too- very welcoming. The jacuzzi overlooking the river was lovely, and sauna and steam room were nice too. The spa is quite small but luckily it wasn't busy when I went. There is no pool but that wasn't a problem for us either. This was a perfect relaxation break ( we went from 11-2.30 but I'm not sure that there is enough to spend a full day there). There is a gym on site but I didn't use this, and I don't know if it's included anyway! Great central location in Cambridge and I definately left feeling relaxed and revived. Would recommend :)
