The therapist was very friendly and explained exactly how the Iyashi Dome treatment would work, what to expect and the levels of heat we would experience during the 30 minute session. She also provided us with water (flavoured with sliced oranges) to drink so we wouldn't become dehydrated. Once in the Dome it felt similar to the heat you would feel in a sauna, the heat was adjusted up to the maximum in stages so it was hot but not unbearable. I'm not quite sure how the infra red part works but my skin did feel very soft for a couple of days after the treatment although I didn't notice any inch loss. Overall it was a good experience but I think you would need several Iyashi Dome treatments to get the full benefit and really see any significant inch loss.
Iyashi dome - I'm a fan, I'm an addict you might say - such a great treatment, working on several levels. It's sometimes hard - however if you have enough water before going in, and you don't eat anything 2 hours before the treatment, you will feel great. Looking forward to the next appointment!
The place is tiny and I nearly walked in on someone, but the treatment itself was ace, I felt like I'd done a few hours in the gym and really felt the effects over the course of the day and evening. I've been looking for more deals to go again (its too pricey to buy direct I think) but think this speaks volumes for how much I liked the actual treatment.
I did feel the treatment was of benefit and that I had been detoxed. The therapist took time to explain the treatment prior to starting, which was very helpful. Only negative thing to say is that the reception area is too small, so you cannot wait comfortably. I would suggest arriving exactly 5 minutes before your appointment time to avoid this.
worth arriving early, to get yourself prepared for the Iyashi dome session - drink plenty of water, and try not to eat anything at least 2-3 hours before you go into the Dome. Also - you won't feel hungry afterwards which is great, but do make sure you get yourself a (pomegranate or pineapple) juice to stay hydrated. Enjoy!
