On booking it seemed odd that you couldn't view the treatments and prices that you had to pay for and book in addition to the price for the spa day. As a treat for my friend I then had to pay almost double to actually get a treatment. On arrival at mill hill lab spa my friend and I were given a mediocre welcome and as the only ones on a spa day we felt very much the outsiders within the centre. At lunch we were told we could have anything from the lunch menu board. We asked for chicken and brown rice only to be told the chef had already made four!! We took this to mean we couldn't have that option. We settled for jackets potatoes and plate of salad. On being served the jacket potatoes we were then told that salad was not part of the deal. It made for a frustrating experience and even though the ladies in the canteen/ cafe were friendly and welcoming the lack of communication of what was included was quite frankly a bit ridiculous.
The massages we had were fantastic and for this only I would return but only to have a massage. With regards swimming pool the water was cold and aqua aerobics taking place in half the pool that we weren't invited to join and it would have been good to have been told on booking as we may have altered our day schedule in that case.
As a centre it has potential but the value for money seriously needs looking at.
I had a really lovely time on my spa day, it wasn't busy in the pool which was fantastic for a Saturday . Food was very good and fresh juices were lovely. I will definitely go back again.
Beautiful health club, a bit tucked away but luckily a friend drove me there - Hendon is a bit out of my way.
We spent a few hours in the club and the staff were courteous and very helpful. I ended up spending the longest time in my stay at the juice bar, the mixologist can put together some wonderful fresh fruit and veg juices that are out of this world!
