I arrived to a pleasant reception, all very clean and aesthetically pleasing. The receptionist began the sales pitch. For £8.95 extra you can get a scalp massage. Oh, I said, what time would that add on (conscious of my car parking) - it doesn’t. You just pay them an extra 9 pound to touch your head. Same for feet. No extra time, comes out of your normal massage. Anywhere else I’ve been I have found this is just normal! The scalp massage itself was dreadful. She just pressed places in my head. Then came the massage. I explained I wanted relaxation, so imagine my surprise when she spent my remaining 38 minutes working on my knots. It’s a grotesquely over priced service for below average massage skill, and a lot of added costs if you want anything normal! Plenty of other better places with much better prices.
Massage was amazing and I can not fault it. Only thing I felt uncomfortable with was the salesman after who tried to get me to sign up to £50 a month subscription under the illusion that the massage would normally be £80. That might be the case but I didn’t pay £80 I paid £50 for a walk in appointment and unless I got the same price I wouldn’t walk in again so to commute to a £50 a month contract just seemed a bit much.
