I love this place, my only problem was that there was an additional charge. This can be solved by speaking to the salon before booking your treatment and confirming what price you should pay. I had to pay an additional £12.50, because of the lenght of my hair which I would consider as short as it falls just below my ears. Which was the full price at the salon(£80) and did not take into consideration the £7.50 off offered by whanada. Other than that, my stylist Andrea was very friendly, I was well taken care of and had a fabulous time. I did my reseach nano keratin is supposed to be one of the better brand and I have had the treatment once before at RUSH (£150) and it was the most effective. I would definietly recommend this salon just make sure you get the price correct before you book!
I have been going to The One Hairdressing for over four years (on and off) and yesterday, I again remembered why I do, and that I should only go to this salon and nowhere else. The ambience is very nice and clean, it is a lovely boutique salon in the heart of St James, with a beauty part downstairs. The owners, Andrea and Masha a great and their new staff Dea is lovely. Dea did my hair yesterday and I can say that I had the best head massage I can remember. I think they had a problem with the hot water at the basins and she had to improvise with a jug, but, however weird this may sound: it did NOT spoil the experience at all. They use great produce which make your hair smell wonderful and look shiny and healthy! Just what you expect.
I am so impressed with my haircut too, my last haircut was elsewhere and only six weeks ago, but what a difference! It isn’t even worth comparing the two. Dea did a great job, she is fast and obviously very skilled (all of them are, Andrea and Masha cut my hair in the past and it was always spot on and super professional). I did not have a blow dry, just rough dry, but it looked like I had rollers in all night. Just wonderful. The highest praise from me.
Another very positive aspect in my opinion, is that fact that they are no hard sales, they are knowledgeable and will advise but do not try and convince you to buy the products they used, which other hairdressers always seem to do.
They only reason I marked them down by one star was that my initial appointment was at 6pm. I had a phone call that they can no longer fit me in due to illness of staff. I rearranged my plans and went to see them four hours early. Which turned out to be rather inconvenient as I work on Park Lane and I had to take a longer lunch break, plus I am going on holiday in two days’ time and that came as a bit of a shock. I am glad they still were able to fit me in, but it was a little inconvenient. This will not deter me from booking my next haircut in a few weeks’ time thoug! They are very professional and extremely competitively priced. A winner and a gem! I am glad I found them. Highly recommend.
