I had a pedicure / manicure a few months ago and it was excellent. A lady called Mai worked hard scrapping my heels, even massaging my lower leg using different products leaving my foot skin smooth and perfect nails.
This time the experience was completely different. I didn't have a pedicure at all. A different lady did the job, she was very friendly but I don't pay 25 pounds for friendliness and a cup of tea. She did my nails ok/ish ( although somebody else painted them as she left me half way ) but spent very little time removing hard skin, I can do that at home in 10 min and better. This wasn't a deluxe pedicure whatsoever. It was so superficial that I had to do it again at home and was able to use scissors to cut hard skin before scrapping it smooth. The service was very rushed and I was not happy with the manicure either. They were also late, not ideal when you have a newborn to breastfeed at certain times so I did not enjoy the experience either, it didn't feel a treat like it should have been. There was a baby crying in the background, as a new mum I felt uneasy about it. It happened to be one of the ladies baby. She was busy doing a manicure and was unable to tent to her. I understand that sometimes you can't find somebody to look after them but it was totally inappropriate. People pay to relax and get pampered . I just wanted somebody to rush and cuddle that poor baby that obviously needed attention!
I was given an apology and a 20% off voucher for my next treatment ( without even telling them how unsatisfied I felt) as the new manager realised of the rushed service but even with the discount I wouldn't pay for a pedicure like that. Wasted money. Get Mai to train your staff !!! And tell me where she works please.
My Hollywood wax was very quick and painless the beautician akeasha was very friendly and professional. I also had a French manicure which was very good. I will definitely be coming back for more treatments.
