The salon is really cute with really nice decor inkeeping with the palm theme. I had a shellac manicure, the therapist took her time to make sure that my nails were coated properly as the polish wasn’t going on as smoothly as hoped. However, as it had taken longer than she’d hoped I felt it ended up being a bit rushed and came to quite an abrupt end as one of my hands ended up having one more coat of polish than the other and she only put hand cream on one of my hands. Throughout my treatment the staff were chatting loudly between themselves about their personal lives in between checking their phones, which I found quite inappropriate and unprofessional. I also felt that they were lacking in customer service skills and didn’t come across as particularly inviting or welcoming to new customers or walk-ins looking to book appointments. It was such a shame to see this as the salon is so cute and could be such a lovely place if only the staff were a bit more interested in creating more of a friendly and welcoming environment for their customers.
I've been to The Palm quite a few times and it's always a good experience. This is my second pedicure there and I left with soft feet and neatly painted toenails. The staff are painstaking but efficient.
