My appointment was with Karl for the permanent hair straightening and I have to say that the result was amazing! It's completely taken out all of the frizz (my hair is quite long and thick) and it's now so soft and managable. I've had the hair straightening done with 2 other salons in London and they don't even compare. I'm so pleased with it I am definitely going back in 8/9 months when my hair starts to grow out again. Karl was really great, it was a 4 hour procedure and he was incredibly thorough.
I went to soho last week, pass the purple salon. I went in for hair cut. The stylist is very friendly . I always knew my hair is dry, and she suggested me to do the Brazilian keratin treatment . And she also told me before 3pm is only £75. Half of the price as normal. So I agreed. My hair cut come out very nice. And I washed my hair after 3 days. I can feel the condition of my hair is really good. Much smoother. I total paid £75 for the treatment and £40 for hair cut. What a bargain !! They assistant also offered me 2 lovely teas.
I am so happy with the purple salon, and I definitely will visit again!
I work near soho, I walk pass the purple salon every day. There is a big A broad outside the salon with all the offer they do. But the discount only until 3pm. I had early shift last week, so I went in the salon to do my highlights. The staff is very nice, I paid £50, that is for half head. I normally pay £80 in other salon. I also had my hair cut by Mei, she made me feel so good, and beautiful . That is £40 on top. I walk out the salon like the different girl! Very happy for my hair. And thanks for all the staff. Will go visit again:)
Overall: satisfied! staff was nice and service was good. Only reason why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars: 1. the pricing was a bit inconsistent 2. the place was nice and clean but not high end.
The details:
I bought a keratin treatment (75 punds) for my aunty. Me, her and her hubby all went there together. As the Brazilian keratin treatment takes about 2 hours I decided spontaneously to get something done instead of just sitting around and waiting. I asked if I could also get the 75 pounds special for the keratin but the guy Rashid told me for me it would cost 200 instead of 75 because my hair is past shoulders... ehm hello? I normally pay 20 or the most 30 pounds extra for my long hair but 125 pounds extra seems crazy to say the least. But anyways, there was no open time slot anyways so I opted for the other special: hair cut and blow dry for 35 pounds, which I was super happy with!
The service was good, the girls who did our hair (mae and I forgot the name of the other girl) were super nice and good at their job.
After my aunt was done with the keratin treatment, her hair looking nice and straightened and ready to go she decided to get a trimm as well since she was already there. Mae did so willingly but then charged my aunt an extra 35 pounds just for the trimm after we already paid 75 for the keratin... Most keratin specials already include a hair cut so 35 was def a rip off.
Well, despite the inconsistent pricing I was happy with my visit, still gave a generous tip and would go again (after double checking all prices first).
Karl was a delight. Really friendly and great attention to detail with the highlights - the colour is great and is right up to my scalp (which is always a concern with highlights). Will revisit!
