I booked this venue because deep tissue massage appeared to be available and I desperately needed it for my back. I had had the real thing in the US before and it had helped me a lot. I arrived at the venue at the right time but was told that no booking had been done. I was given another appointment for the next day. What I then had was certainly not deep tissue massage. It was regular oil massage, and not even firm enough for me to feel anything. It was quite boring, actually. The therapist insisted that she did "a bit of deep tissue massage" but it was obvious that she did not know what it means. To me, this was a total waste of time and money.
The venue had not been informed of the treatment and were not able to offer the massage at that time anyway so the booking should never have been taken. My friend, who I bought the gift for was sent away.
The spa itself is quite small, but the treatment was fantastic! Be weary though; if you book through treatwell you should call with the Randolph to confirm the booking, although it does not say this. The staff accommodated me regardless though.
Lovely afternoon visit - spa day was a good deal and our treatments (massages and facials) were great. Very calm and relaxing atmosphere in the relaxing room and steam/sauna area. Only downsides were a bit of confusion with our booking and that the relaxation lounge is small and rather cold. Will definitely go again.
Not a place for a spa day. Very small add on rooms to a hotel rather a spa, so not a venue to relax for the day. Treatment could not be faulted so would go just for that and leave, could not spend the day at venue. Food also not great. A venue living on its old name.
