A beautiful retreat with very friendly staff. Would like to see a quiet relaxation area but I believe there are plans for a referb this year to include one. Lovely treatments and I plan to return.
I went with my mum and sister and got a day at the spa with full use of facilities, lunch included and 2 treatments each for £65, which was amazing value for money! The spa is clean and the staff are lovely. My treatments were good quality but I would've liked some music on in the background! The lunch was lovely inside the hotel with lots of options and the pool facilities were good but I wouldn't recommend the gym facilities as the machines are very old and don't work very well.
I loved it. The massage was very relaxing and the atmosphere around the pool too. It could have been a little warmer around the pool area. I would like to have had more time around the pool, than just the morning. The food was delicious and staff friendly in the bar. A great atmosphere and surroundings.
The spa staff were absolutely lovely and my mum and I had gorgeous treatments. I had Tanya who gave me an exceptional massage. Unfortunately the spa itself feels very tired and certainly not the special place I had wanted to treat my mum to before Christmas. We had a lovely time together despite it but it felt like we were at a public leisure centre rather than an indulgent spa treat. The steam room had a bad odor, the showers were mouldy with tiles missing and rust. The pool had an strong smell of chlorine, the 'lounge' area was uninspired and not a place to curl up with a book as we had planned. None of this was the staff's fault and they are doing the best they can with what they have but the management clearly hasn't invested in the spa for sometime. People go on spa days to have a luxurious and special time but this didn't leave my mother or I feeling that way. The staff were kind and helpful and worked with what they had as best they could.
