Booked for birthday and had a fab time. Booked bed and breakfast but also had lunch and evening meal there. Food was absolutely gorgeous. Room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Spa area was excellent. Had shoulder, back and neck massage which was wonderful. Staff were very friendly. Would definitely return and I would recommend to anyone.
Overall I did enjoy our visit to The Manor Spa, this was our second visit.
Facilities - There are more than enough facilities for an evening spa and they are enjoyable. However, the edge of the pool looked like it needed a good clean and my partner was in the Jacuzzi and it looked like someone left a tissue in their pocket so this was floating around the Jacuzzi. I did particularly enjoy the outside seating area where you can relax and have a drink.
Treatments - My treatments were nice however I thought I picked a foot massage and it turned out to be a pedicure but I wasn't too bothered about. I had to walk to the treatment room within the hotel and I didn't have any flip flops as I thought these were provided. The carpet in that section of the hotel was disgusting or at least I thought so, I had to walk back, bare foot (with my freshly manicured feet) and by the time I got back to the spa my feet were dirty.
The staff were all really nice and the restaurant was lovely, food was really nice too. I think if some further TLC is spent on this spa it would be a lot better.
Very friendly host at reception, warm welcome. Disappointed the Jacuzzi was broken - facilities a little tired in general. Quality of tea and coffee needs improving. My husband and I both had a back massage which we found basic and bland. Facials were better, but again had much better elsewhere, with nicer products. The beds were rickety and uncomfortable too. On the plus, at £25 each it was a great price, but I would rather pay more for better products and treatments. The food served at lunch was fine but there was only one waitress who was unable to attend to all the diners adequately (my sauce arrived at the end of my meal...). All in all, it's a really nice old hotel with friendly staff, but the treatments were disappointing.
You get what you pay for. Light lunch ok. Jacuzzi not working on the day and the spa looking very tired needs updating and some money spend on updating it. However very pleased with massage and manicure, updated to shellac nails. Spa Staff very helpful, friendly and pleasant.
