Celebrated our wedding anniversary with a spa day and stay at hotel. Relaxing, friendly staff, good atmosphere, good food, and nice pint! Definitely want to do it again!
The staff in spa were amazing and helpful. The problem was; the jacuzzi was closed and the meal.
We both sent our meal back because we were served frozen jacket potatoes. When it was replaced it was edible but not nicest. For being a Baked potato I wouldn't think there would have been problems. This had a knock on effect to time we have the facilities as our treatment started late.
on this day I feel too many clients had been booked in and there were not enought seats around the pool area so it was difficult to relax
the hot tub was not working and apart from it been bblocked off by a chair and hand written notice we were never told or given an apology that it could not be used
my first treatment was 9.30 after which I was going to use gym facilities the thearepist wanted to do my back massage but I refused not much point when I intended to hit the gym hard straight after, although she did go for nail varnish her manner was dismissive and a little off
There was only one waitress serving at lunch time and although our food was nice, basic but nice, there were tables left uncleared, but as we onlypaid £25 for the day with £5 of that towards our lunch we got what we had paid for
I feel in general a little bit of money needs to be spent to tidy and refressh the facilities up
I would have given higher rating, but the spa is looking a bit tatty and needs a bit of a face lift. The treatments were good, but the bed I was lying on has an attachment for the face, a piece of metal was sticking in my cheek the whole time I was having a massage.
But overall I had a thoroughly enjoyable day and would go back.
