The spa was very crowded, there was not enough room on the terrace for everyone present. Very small changing area. The floor area was a little grubby. However the staff were very efficient and although fully booked our treatment was offered on time and was lovely- beauticians were very skilled. We visited through groupon so felt overall it was good value.

Absolute bargin find. Lovely querky old hotel. Spa area small but well maintained. Would recommend the back, shoulder and neck massage. My friend had a facial and was equally pleased.

The spa itself was very nice with a lovely pool and clean sauna and steam rooms. It was small so consequently there was only two loungers (which were taken). We sat in round hard backed chairs. They were ok. Luckily we were able to use another two chairs to put our feet up on - on top of our towel. The spa treatment itself was a big disappointment. We were booked for a 25 min session- mine for a scalp neck and shoulder massage and my daughter for a back neck and shoulders massage. We were collected at 2/3 mins past half 2 (our appointment was for 2:30). I had my scalp massaged - which was lovely- and then told ok I'll leave you to get ready to leave. I commented that the time had gone very quickly and the therapist laughed and said yes it always seems like that. We got back to the pool area - about a 2-3 min walk - BEFORE ten to 3!!! My daughter said she only had her back massaged not her neck and shoulders. I went to see the manager who apologised and said he would look into it. As way of compensation he gave us a bottle of wine for dinner and didn't charge us for the £5 aromatherapy upgrade we requested. It was a shame about the treatment but appreciated them taking it seriously. Next time however I will be asking how much of the time is spent on the treatment itself!

The brilliant staff made my anxieties and nerves disappear with a great treatment added in. Thankfully we were there during the less busy period as the health club facilities were on the small side.

An amazing half massage with great staff ensuring I was at ease and comfortable throughout. The Spa facilities were on the small side but we visited when it wasn't too busy so managed to enjoy the full experience.
