The spa had everything you need, but it's a bit dated and could do with renovation (or at least a lick of paint).
The pool area was ok, but the conservatory tagged on was cold as they had to open windows to try to get the condensation out... Which didn't work.
The treatments were great, but the treatment rooms were cold - not really the relaxing atmosphere we were hoping for.
Spa facilities quite nice. Restaurant staff lovely and attentive, David was a star. Spa therapist could do with intense training, massage rushed with super quick moves, no welcome touch or moves to signal start and end of massage, didn't catch therapist's name because she didn't even introduce herself. Treatment rooms were very cold and too light to try and relax. My friend's therapist "wouldn't shut up".
Would not return to this spa until therapists receive training.
Unfortunately the cleanliness was very poor, from the welcome to the overall general experience was poor. Left the day early as couldn’t relax due to cleanliness.
The hotel and spa is situated within lovely surroundings, has good facilities and everything you would want from a spa, pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, relaxing conservatory area. Offers a variety of treatments at very reasonable prices, very helpful staff where nothing is too much trouble. I've enjoyed both visits, loved the treatments I had, have already recommended the place to friends and will definitely return again
Myself and my husband both really enjoyed the spa facilities and our treatments we have never felt or looked any better cant wait to return the staff are lovely
