Pool was very small. Asked for firm massage and asked her to be be more firm but after a minute she went back to medium.
Food was great!
Tried to book a Sunday and apparently none for ages so had no choice to book Saturday paying £20pp supplement. Still good value for money but only stayed 1/2 day as spa area was very small dated and ceiling peeling and area looked clean but scruffy in some areas.
Overall we had a lovely day but there are a few points that could be improved.
The conservatory area could have done with a good sweep up, there was quite a lot of hair on the floor along with nails....Not sure if these were toe nails or finger nails! The towels were a little rough including those that they used in the spa.
The changing area would be nicer if there were somewhere private to get changed, not everyone feels comfortable naked in front of others.
The treatments were average, the massage I received was too gentle, I did ask her for more pressure but she didn't increase it. The facial was nice. I however did not appreciate having a hair full of oil (from the back massage) for the duration of my stay, my friends didn't have any in theirs. My therapist was quiet throughout my massage which I like, however the other girls said that theirs talked throughout the whole appointment and that they could hear squeaky floors above them so not the most relaxing experience.
Lunch was delightful and the chap who served us very pleasant, the other staff we came across were fine, neither friendly or unfriendly.
Overall we did have a nice day but think I would have been a little annoyed if I had paid full price for the day.
The hotel and spa was booked as a surprise for my birthday. I wasn’t expecting such a lovely spa when I was told we were going. There is a sauna and steam room alongside a decent sized pool with a sitting area with sun loungers and a wall of windows looking out onto the courtyard. All the treatments available at the larger well known spas in the area were available and there was also a small gym room with the essential gym equipment. All the staff were polite and friendly and I had a wonderful massage. Thank you. I will definitely be going again.

Shower facilities need updating and need a good clean, quote dirty. Had a back massage and asked to be firm but it wasn’t, too be honest it just felt like she was rubbing my back and didn’t feel any better after. Lovely girl though.
